TORONTO — In six months Travelsavers has added more than 20 agencies in Canada and now counts 275 locations in Canada including more than 40 locations in Quebec. The agency group celebrated a record year at an industry gathering in Toronto last night.
Chief Marketing Officer Nicole Mazza welcomed some 50 suppliers to the Travelsavers Partner Appreciation event where the theme was ‘Grow with Us’.
Technology solutions such as the agency website solution OnlineXpress and the reimagined tripXpress – an itinerary builder and booking platform – are producing actionable leads and increased booking values for agents, said Mazza. The group is predicting strong double-digit growth for 2017.
Last year Travelsavers welcomed Linda Khanna as Director of New Business Development. Mazza said Khanna has been working with affiliates to maximize their preferred supplier growth, as well as assisting the group with strategic acquisition across Canada. She will continue to provide one-on-one assistance as the key person handling the integration and transition of new accounts.
Educational opportunities for Travelsavers agents include a series of Lunch n’ Learns in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. The group is also holding a ‘Boot Camp’ in Cancun/Riviera Maya this May and an Owners Focus Retreat in Quebec in September.
Coming soon, the Travelsavers agency extranet has been redesigned with a new look and will be responsive and optimized for viewing on any mobile device. New in Q3, Distinctive Destination Weddings content will be available on OnlineXpress.
In other tech developments for the company, Travelsavers’ reimagined tripXpress is now a leading booking tool and OnlineXpress (OXP) is creating “unprecedented leads and brand exposure for agents”, says Travelsavers. Agents are reporting strong leads and a 70% close rate.
