NEWBURGH, N.Y. — An airline says it’s going to offer the most affordable trans-Atlantic flights Americans have ever had when it starts service to Ireland out of Stewart Airport next year.
A spokesman for Norwegian Air tells the Poughkeepsie Journal the airline will start with flights to Cork and explore the possibility of adding other European destinations.
Anders Lindstrom of Norwegian Air says the official announcement will be made early next year, with details including fares and frequency. He says there will be an introductory fare of $69 plus tax one way.
Delta, jetBlue, American and Allegiant offer flights out of the Hudson Valley airport.
