TORONTO — Both the Royalton Negril Resort & Spa and the adults-only Hideaway at Royalton Negril resort, as well as the Royalton Blue Waters in Montego Bay, will open their doors earlier than scheduled.
Originally expected to open on Feb. 1, 2017, Royalton Negril Resort & Spa and the adults-only Hideaway at Royalton Negril resort will now be ready as of Jan. 15, 2017.
Royalton Blue Waters in Montego Bay will also be ready a few weeks sooner than expected and will be welcoming Sunwing customers as of Nov. 1, 2016, according to the tour operator.
Sunwing is expanding its flying schedule to offer twice-daily service between Toronto and Montego Bay on Saturdays from Dec. 24, 2016 to April 29, 2017, in addition to the daily service already offered year round.
An additional Sunday flight will also be available out of Montreal, between Dec. 18, 2016 and March 12, 2017 to complement the regular Friday and Saturday flights.
“Royalton Luxury Resorts is one of our top partners and we were delighted to hear that the construction projects in Jamaica are running ahead of schedule, with all three properties now at the finishing touches stage,” said Andrew Dawson, President of Tour Operations, Sunwing Vacations. “Royalton Luxury Resorts are consistently popular amongst our customers of all ages in search of a luxury all inclusive experience and we are sure that these new additions will be well received. The news that we will be increasing our flight services from both Montreal and Toronto could not come at a better time.”
Paul Pennicook, Director of Tourism for Jamaica, said the island is “thrilled” to welcome the three new resorts into its luxury product mix. “Adding over 800 more rooms to our stock at the start of the winter season is a significant boost to our offerings. The increased flight service to Montego Bay is another tremendous enhancement to our accessibility, making it easier for Canadian visitors to travel to Jamaica this winter,” said Pennicook.
