MONTREAL — Air Transat has become the only airline to offer direct flights to Santo Domingo with the addition of a new weekly flight from Toronto. Flights depart Sundays and begin Dec. 18.

According to the airline, Santo Domingo is a new gateway to the Dominican Republic, offering travellers access to the capital city’s superb beaches.

Air Transat’s flight program for the winter of 2016-2017 includes 34 sun destinations, including six in the D.R., with departures from 22 Canadian cities. In addition, there’s a diverse range of European destinations that are also Canadian favourites during the winter season.
