TORONTO — TICO will be hosting its Annual General Meeting on June 21 in Mississauga, and this year it will also be holding an election for one wholesale position on the TICO Board of Directors.

All registrants were sent a Nominations package. Nominations must be received at TICO no later than 5 p.m. (EST) on April 22. It’s recommended that those wishing to run for election allow themselves sufficient time to obtain the required Criminal Record Check, which must be submitted with the Nomination Form by the deadline date. Ballots will then be sent to Member Registrants and the results will be announced at the AGM.

“Industry representation on the Board of Directors is an important governance role in support of TICO’s vision, mission and mandate,” said Richard Smart, TICO President and CEO. “I would like to encourage registrants who wish to participate on the TICO Board to submit nomination forms. This is your industry, so please take this opportunity to get involved. I also want to encourage people to mark their calendars and to plan to attend TICO’s AGM in June. This year’s AGM will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the Mississauga Living Arts Centre, located at 4141 Living Arts Drive, Mississauga, Ontario.
