With the loonie dipping into record lows, Canadian travellers are looking to save a buck wherever they can. Enter travel search engine Kayak, which recently listed the top 10 travel destinations for airline savings. This list comprises specific cities where the average roundtrip airfare from Canada and the U.S. has decreased the most this year compared to last. In other words, these are the destinations that will dish out the biggest savings and incredible experiences, too.
Topping the list is Hong Kong, where a roundtrip flight is expected to be 26% cheaper this year than it was in 2015. Coincidentally, Kayak also found that the cheapest month to fly to Hong Kong is in October, when median airfare from the U.S. is only US$683, reports Money magazine. To compare, the most expensive month to fly is in December when airfare costs $1,345.
