ST. JOHN’S, N.L. – Poor weather and runway renovations are continuing to cause travel problems at the airport in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
Several flights have been cancelled so far today because of poor visibility and a low ceiling caused by fog and rain.
Eight flights were unable to land last night.
In the last week or more over 150 flights have been cancelled.
Airport officials had warned of possible cancellations when the runway renovations were announced for a two week period in July.
But they say they didn’t count on the weather being this bad.
