MONTREAL — Air Transat celebrated the inauguration of its first Toronto-Budapest via Montreal flight at both Toronto Pearson International and Montreal Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau International airports last week.
To mark the occasion, a Grand Budapest Hotel themed décor was set up at both airports and passengers were treated to a variety of surprises including food and wine.
“The addition of Budapest to our European lineup is something to celebrate,” says Annick Guérard, the General Manager of Transat Tours Canada. “Based on the success of our Prague addition last year, the choice of Budapest as a new destination was a natural one for us. Thanks to our direct flights we can open the doors of Western Europe to our clients. We are extremely proud of these additions to our portfolio and are committed to continuing to provide dream vacations with inspiring destinations.”
Budapest, Air Transat’s newest destination available via direct flight from Toronto and Montreal, will be offered on Wednesdays through Oct. 7, 2015.
Present during the event in Montreal were members of the Hungarian Embassy, the Hungarian Tourism Office, Jean-François Lemay, General Manager of Air Transat, and Annick Guérard. In Toronto, members of the Consulate General of Hungary and the Hungarian National Tourist Office participated.
