NEW YORK — Travel Leaders Network is continuing its momentum into 2025, ending the first quarter with steady growth in membership, increased trip spend and high demand for educational offerings.
“Coming off our most successful year ever in 2024, I was eager to see how Travel Leaders would continue to perform in 2025,” said John Lovell, President of Travel Leaders Network. “What the first quarter showed us is that travel advisors continue to book travel, and that agencies are actively seeking out Travel Leaders to make more money.”
In the first quarter of 2025, Travel Leaders welcomed 64 new Affiliate members in the United States and six in Canada, representing a combined US$30 million in preferred supplier partner sales. Additionally, a new Associate (franchise) agency joined the network, contributing an estimated US$16 million in revenues.
Education remained a key focus, with 4,160 travel advisors participating in virtual, instructor-led training sessions designed to deliver expert insights and real-time Q&A. A total of 91 travel advisors also earned the Trusted Travel Advisor designation during the quarter, meeting the program’s rigorous standards for expertise and professionalism.
Across Canada, Travel Leaders hosted six exclusive Mixers, attracting 390 members and 96 preferred supplier partners. Membership in Canada continues to be strong, with a 97% retention rate, reflecting high engagement and commitment among members.
“Each mixer provides an excellent opportunity for suppliers to network with agents, build personal relationships, share new information and programs to grow their business and solicit ideas and feedback from members,” said Christine James, Vice President of Travel Leaders Network in Canada.
Travel Leaders’ SNAP booking tool also continued to drive results for members. Designed for non-GDS users to book air, car and hotel, SNAP has seen more than 1,100 advisors book over 7,300 flight tickets since its launch. With an average commission of 4.4% per ticket – considered high in an industry where many airfares offer little to no commission – SNAP is helping members generate significant new revenue streams.
Since the beta launch of SNAP CA on March 17, 2025, Canadian members have been quick to adopt the platform, with 978 advisor enrollments representing 126 member agencies to date.
On the marketing and supplier side, Travel Leaders members benefited from several exclusive opportunities during Q1. Events included the Honeymoon & Destination Wedding Alliance’s annual summit at Palace Resorts in Cancun, a Travel Leaders-exclusive Baglioni Hotel key account summit in Rome and Venice, and a post-ASTA River Cruise Expo charter with Avalon Waterways.
The Agent Profiler lead generation tool also reported a strong performance, with the average booking value rising from US$6,500 to $10,655 compared to the same period last year.
“It’s been a busy time over the last several months,” Lovell said. “The team at Travel Leaders has done a tremendous job of bringing in new members and bringing current members exciting opportunities. We’re not slowing down and are continuing to innovate and make sure our Network is the best home for all types of travel agencies. It’s great to see that 2025 has continued the success of 2024, and we are looking forward to continuing serving our members well in the rest of the year.”
