Turks and Caicos welcomes new Tourism Minister

PROVIDENCIALES — The Turks and Caicos Islands has appointed Zhavargo Jolly as its new Minister of Tourism, Agriculture, Fisheries, and the Environment.

Jolly was appointed to the Cabinet on Feb. 12, 2025, following the General Elections on Feb. 7 in which the Progressive National Party (PNP) secured a decisive victory.

A seasoned entrepreneur and financial expert, Jolly brings with him a wealth of experience to his ministerial role. Before entering politics, he served as the Managing Director of Turks and Caicos Islands Capital, a private investment and lending firm. He’s a Business graduate of the University of South Carolina and also earned an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.

On his new role, Jolly said: “Leading the tourism sector is a responsibility I take very seriously. I look forward to working with the team at Experience Turks and Caicos to build a sustainable, high-value industry while solidifying our reputation as a premier global destination. In the coming months, I aim to strengthen relationships with stakeholders across the tourism sector, both regionally and in our key source markets.”
