IRVING, TX — Nexion Travel Group has announced key appointment updates following the departure of Mike Foster, President of Nexion Canada, at the end of 2024.
Jackie Friedman, President of Nexion Travel Group, has now absorbed Foster’s role, while Esther Roemmele, a long-time member of the Nexion team who previously served as Director of Member Services, has been appointed Director of Canadian Operations. Jenny Lloret, meanwhile, has been named Supervisor for Member Services.
In 2013, as part of Friedman’s commitment to market expansion, Nexion acquired a majority stake in Canada-based Uniglobe Instant Travel, an agency owned by Foster. This business eventually evolved into what is now known as Nexion Travel Group in Canada, where Foster previously served as its President.
Friedman has been part of Nexion since 2004 when she joined as Vice President of U.S. Operations. In 2007, she was appointed President, a position in which she has led the company’s growth and operations in North America ever since.
“Our Canadian office in London, Ontario, is just a few miles from my alma mater, Western University, offering the best of both worlds – programs that are uniquely Canadian combined with the benefits that come from being part of a larger organization,” said Friedman. “I know that the uniquely Canadian part of the business is important to our members.”
