FORT LAUDERDALE — More than 200 guests were invited to celebrate the christening of VIVA Cruises’ newest ship earlier this week.

VIVA ENJOY, the company’s third new build, was officially christened at its home port of Düsseldorf, Germany during a festive ceremony on Jan. 14, 2025. Andrea Kruse, CEO of VIVA Cruises, and Arno Reitsma, CEO of VIVA’s parent company, Scylla AG, welcomed guests on board alongside the ship’s godmother, award-winning cruise writer Jeannine Williamson.

VIVA ENJOY, with its modern and premium amenities, creates unforgettable journeys along the beautiful rivers of Europe.”

Sister ship to VIVA TWO, VIVA ENJOY can accommodate 190 passengers with 95 stylish cabins – most with French balconies – including eight suites, spread across three decks. There are three restaurants on board, an open-plan lounge, a spacious sun deck, fitness and wellness area, an extra multi-purpose treatment room, pool and free-rental bicycles. The ship also utilizes eco-friendly technologies, including the use of sulphur-free GTL and biofuels, responsible route planning and reliance on shore power whenever possible, all of which meet the requirements of the Green Award certification.

After its christening, VIVA ENJOY will offer four-night wellness cruises sailing on both the Upper and Middle Rhine and featuring daily yoga and qi gong sessions. Following this, the ship will primarily sail on the Danube, with frequent departures from Vienna. It will also sail on the Rhine with a range of itineraries departing from Amsterdam.

VIVA ENJOY will connect Amsterdam, Budapest and Vienna for the first time in 2025 with new seven-, 10- and 14-day itineraries. In addition, the ship will feature one-week trips from Frankfurt to Amsterdam.
