TORONTO — The Curaçao Tourist Board is celebrating a 2024 milestone, after the island exceeded 700,000 stayover arrivals for the year.
The grand total was 700,249 stayover arrivals, “a remarkable achievement,” says the tourism board. There were also 35,499 day-trippers and 834,922 cruise passengers, for a total of 1,570,670 tourist arrivals. That’s a 20% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
Throughout 2024 the Curaçao Tourist Board made strategic efforts to maintain visibility in key markets. Curaçao’s primary market – not surprising given its Dutch heritage – is the Netherlands, followed by the U.S. and Colombia.
