VIVA Cruises in 2026: Expanded cruise program, inclusive city taxes & more

FORT LAUDERDALE — VIVA Cruises has set its sights on expansion with a ramped-up selection of cruises scheduled for the first quarter of 2026.

Following the introduction of its all-year program on Europe’s rivers in 2022, the cruise line has announced a total of six ships starting in January 2026 – VIVA ONE, VIVA TWO VIVA ENJOY, VIVA MOMENTS and VIVA GLORIA – with SWISS RUBY starting in February. The program’s expansion will ensure that guests have the chance to experience Europe’s finest rivers at quieter times of the year.

The news comes on the heels of another major initiative for the cruise line: the launch of VIVA Boutique, a brand new premium product line that will kick off with the May 2026 launch of the VIVA BEYOND, the line’s first boutique river ship. VIVA BEYOND will accommodate 116 passengers and feature 26 suites, and will offer an extended VIVA All-Inclusive package, in-room breakfast and local onboard entertainment. The VIVA Boutique concept will also provide curated itineraries dedicated to: ‘Impressionism,’ during which art lovers can follow in the footsteps of van Gogh and Monet; ‘Culture,’ which highlights castles and cities along the Seine; and ‘Culinary,’ where foodies can enjoy regional wines and Normandy’s culinary delights.

Other initiatives in 2026 include:

SUSTAINABILITY

As part of the line’s ongoing mission towards a greener future, VIVA Cruises has announced that all cruises from 2026 onwards will run exclusively on HVO-fuel. The fossil-free alternative, produced from renewable resources such as vegetable oils and used cooking oils, will replace previously used fuel.

INCLUSIVE CITY TAXES

VIVA Cruises’ rates will include all taxes, fees and surcharges from 2026. While the amount and calculation vary from city to city, the company believes that a true all-inclusive product should not make guests worry about extra charges.

NEW ITINERARIES & RETURNING FAVES

Apart from the new VIVA BEYOND Seine program for 2026, guests can look forward to new itineraries and ports as well as extended departures of all-time favourites. Guests can explore the Rhine, Moselle and Main Rivers on one of the line’s smallest ships, VIVA TIARA. VIVA ONE and VIVA MOMENTS will continue to offer a variety of shorter cruises on the Rhine, ideal for guests new to river cruising. Due to popular demand, the number of seven-night cruises on the Danube has also been extended. VIVA TWO and VIVA ENJOY will offer year-round cruises out of Passau and Vienna, respectively. With 13 departures on VIVA VOYAGE, the company will have its biggest offer on the Rhône since 2018.

For the first time, a Seine winter program on VIVA GLORIA will be offered in January and February 2026, with three-night city stays (Paris only) and four-night cruises, which can be easily combined into a seven-night Seine experience. PORTA MIRANTE will offer additional departures on the Douro River to meet increasing demand. VIVA RUBY, fully integrated into the VIVA fleet in 2026, will continue to offer itineraries on smaller rivers and canals for those who’ve ‘seen it all’ from February to December.

All VIVA Cruises itineraries include snacks, full board, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, minibar, beauty products from Rituals, Wi-Fi and all tips and gratuities.
