TORONTO — The European River Cruise Summit is underway this week, sailing along the iconic Danube River with over 100 travel advisors from across Canada.
Hosted by Avalon Waterways and ACTA, the eight-day Summit – now in its second year – is sailing in Budapest this week, from Oct. 28-Nov. 4, exclusively for travel advisors. Twenty-two of these advisors are from The Travel Agent Next Door (TTAND).
“We always want to support ACTA initiatives. We know that firsthand experience is always the best possible way to learn about products. We have been a supporter of Globus brands and Avalon for many years,” said Flemming Friisdahl, CEO of TTAND.
The custom cruise is following Avalon’s ‘Danube Dream’ itineraries, during which advisors are participating in ‘Classic,’ ‘Discovery’ and ‘Active’ Avalon Choice excursions, onboard workshops and special events before disembarking in Vilshofen, Germany at the end of the week. They’ll also get the chance to meet one-on-one with representatives from Manulife and Air Canada.
“We are absolutely so excited and proud to see the investment and engagement from our agent partners. They have invested in their future and education by supporting this event and we are incredibly grateful,” said Denise Harper, Senior Director, Business Development at Globus family of brands, which Avalon Waterways is part of. “TTAND has been and continues to be an integral part of our success and we value each and every one of the advisors and their ongoing support of the Globus family of brands.”
