Goway’s Trade Training and Engagement Manager, Don Forster, says the GowayPro Travel Academy is a fun, free, and easy way for travel professionals to become experts on destinations they may have never visited themselves.

Travel professionals can engage with the program to learn at their own pace, as they become experts on countries, regions and continents.

Academy members can also become certified travel experts and gain exclusive rewards, including access to FAMs and cash rewards with the GowayPro Loyalty Program.

“Adversity often leads to new opportunities,” said Forster. “The GowayPro Travel Academy was born from the COVID-19 pandemic with the realization that both Goway’s Destination Specialists and our travel trade partners would need refresher training to return to the new normal of travel. It was also clear that many new agents were joining the industry as we emerged from imposed isolation and that training would be vital for them to get up to speed. From that, I’m proud that the GowayPro Travel Academy has grown to over 7,000 students, with more joining daily and seeing the value in ongoing education from a company that has focused on internal and external training for almost 55 years.”

Forster added that the launch of Goway’s new GowayPro Travel Tales podcast and the impending trade release of the revamped Globetrotting Magazine offer new ways to stay up-to-date with the latest trends, insider tips, and stories from trusted travel professionals.
