FORT LAUDERDALE — Ambassador Cruise Line is expanding into North America.
The UK-based cruise line has opened a dedicated office in the U.S., complete with a toll-free phone number to serve the North American market.
And that includes Canada, as a spokesperson confirmed for Travelweek. The new 1-800-537-1499 number will work in Canada. “When travel advisors call, they will be assisted by a travel industry sales specialist and receive agent commission,” said the spokesperson.

Ambassador Cruise Line’s first ship, the 1,400-passenger Ambience, sailed its maiden voyage from London Cruise Terminal in April 2022. A second ship, the 1,200-passenger Ambition, has since joined the fleet.
Christian Verhounig, CEO, Ambassador Cruise Line, says the line is known for delivering authentic, affordable, quality cruises sailing from eight regional ports across the UK. Those ports are London, Edinburgh Leith, Newcastle, Dundee, Liverpool, Belfast, Bristol and Falmouth.
The cruise line is described as adult-focused and age-inclusive, primarily catering to the 50-plus market. Multi-generational cruise adventures with family-fun activities operate during the summer.
