TORONTO — Direct Travel Canada’s corporate travel division’s first-ever corporate travel symposium took place recently in Fort Lauderdale.
Aimed at senior executives, managers and advisors, the event was designed as an opportunity to connect and learn about developments in corporate travel.
Direct Travel President Canada West, Brian Robertson, said: “Corporate client travel managers were also invited to partake in select sessions, giving them the chance to meet our team – for many, in person for the first time.”
Direct, which has been in business for over 60 years in Canada, works with corporations of all sizes to develop a travel policy, provide reporting and analytics on their travel spend, and ensure risk management.
For year-end 2023, Direct Travel Canada will once again surpass $1 billion in corporate, meetings and leisure sales.
A number of preferred partners took part in the symposium, including Air Canada, United Airlines, Hilton Worldwide, Enterprise Mobility, WestJet and Choice Hotels. Total attendance was 160+.
Joel Ostrov, President of les Services Direct Travel in Eastern Canada, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the company’s team members, corporate customers and preferred suppliers “who all made this such a milestone event.”
Topics up for discussion included elevating the customer experience, innovative technologies, AI and sustainability initiatives. Plus, as Robertson puts it, “what makes Direct Travel the TMC of choice for our corporate clients.”
