VANCOUVER — Air Canada’s new service from Vancouver to Dubai is now underway.
The airline celebrated the new route, inaugurated Oct. 28, with a special presentation at Vancouver International Airport. The four times weekly seasonal flights complement Air Canada’s daily year-round service between Toronto and Dubai.
The new link offers travellers a connection from across B.C., Alberta and the Western U.S. to the Middle East, Indian subcontinent and East Africa, says Mark Galardo, Air Canada’s Executive Vice President, Revenue and Network Planning.
“We are very pleased to launch Air Canada’s newest international route connecting Vancouver and Dubai,” said Galardo. “Not only are both cities two of the top cosmopolitan destinations worldwide renowned for their extraordinary landmarks, rich culture, entertainment and leisure adventures, this route links two global hub airports to offer customers unparalleled travel options and conveniences beyond, whether travelling for leisure, visiting friends and family, or for business.”
He added that through Dubai passengers can connect with Air Canada’s codeshare and frequent flyer partner Emirates to a multitude of destinations across the Middle East, Indian subcontinent and East Africa.
The Vancouver and Dubai flights are operating with B787 Dreamliner aircraft featuring Signature Class with lie-flat seats, Premium Economy and Economy Class.
