Royal Scenic launches 2015 Certified Asia Specialist program

TORONTO — Royal Scenic is launching its 2015 Certified Asia Specialist (CAS) Program.

In its 14th year, the CAS program “continues to be the only one-stop destination specialist distance learning course of its kind in Canada where retail travel professionals can learn ‘How to Sell Asia’ with an extensive overview of multiple Asia destinations and participating stakeholders,” says the operator.

“It is a collective effort to educate the Canadian travel agent community on unique value propositions, features and benefits of major Asia destinations with the ultimate goal of increasing outbound leisure and corporate travel from Canada to Asia,” said Harold Ho, Royal Scenic’s VP Marketing.

“The program continues to attract qualified and experienced travel professionals who are eager to expand their product knowledge. The list of sponsors certainly reflects the program’s growing popularity.”

Eight tourism boards, the most in the program history, are participating this year. They are China National Tourist Office, India Tourism, Japan National Tourist Organization, Korea Tourism Organization, Philippine Department of Tourism, Tourism Malaysia, Taiwan Tourism Bureau and Tourism Authority of Thailand.

Airline sponsors are Air Canada, China Airlines, Delta Airlines, EVA Air and Japan Airlines. Hong Kong based Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s premier hotel companies, also rounds out the list.

The ACTA approved Certified Asia Specialist Program is available free of charge online to retail travel professionals across Canada. Graduates qualify for 12 advanced credits toward CTC accreditation and enjoy benefits and assistance. For more information on CAS or to enroll, visit royalscenic.com/cas.
