TORONTO — Railbookers has extended its flash sale and hours of operations of its reservations department in response to immense demand for travel in the latter half of 2023.
According to data beginning July 1, nearly 54% of Railbookers’ bookings were for trips with an average of eight nights, with departure dates in 2023. Fifty-seven percent of these vacations were booked departing in July, August or September of this year. Among Railbookers’ Canada-based customers, Portugal, Italy, Ireland and Spain were among the top destinations booked.
To accommodate this spike in bookings, Railbookers recently extended its reservations department’s hours of operation. Its Rail Experts are now available for instant quotes and bookings from Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. EST, and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EST.
Additionally, Railbookers has extended its flash sale through Aug. 18, with travellers saving up to $500 off any vacation the company offers. Plus, travel agents will continue to earn a gift card for up to $100 for every booking of 10 or more nights for departures in 2023. Bookings of 7-9 nights receive a $50 gift card while a 3-6 night booking will earn them a $20 gift card. All trips must depart during 2023 to be eligible for the gift card incentive.
“The demand for last-minute bookings in 2023 is unbelievable, even as we head towards the final few months,” said President & CEO Frank Marini. “More than half of our trips booked in the last six weeks have been for travel in 2023. “With inventory on the train, hotels and sightseeing activities available, we make last-minute bookings easy for our travel agent partners and their clients.”
