Canada Jetlines eyes Guyana flights from YYZ starting in Q3

TORONTO — Canada Jetlines has signed a charter agreement with FlyAllways to provide weekly service from Toronto to Guyana.

The six-month contract will see Canada Jetlines providing weekly flights to Georgetown, Guyana from YYZ.

FlyAllways is a Caribbean airline based in Suriname.

Flights are expected to start in Q3 2023 subject to Guyanese government approval.

“We are looking forward to this partnership with FlyAllways. We know that there is a substantial demand for the Toronto/Georgetown market, and we believe FlyAllways, and the Canadian tour operator that they have partnered with, will be successful with the introduction of this route,” said Canada Jetlines’ President and CEO, Eddy Doyle.

“In addition to our regular schedule flying, we have experienced strong demand for charter and ACMI/wet-lease flying, and the flight hours contemplated in this contract will keep one of our aircraft fully utilized,” added Doyle.

Canada Jetlines was most recently in the news after the departure of Duncan Bureau. The carrier’s new Chief Commercial Officer, Charles McKee, took over the role on June 28.
