TORONTO — SkyGreece Airlines will begin year-round nonstop to Budapest from Canada in May.

SkyGreece will launch two weekly flights from Toronto to Budapest starting May 20 and will continue this service all year long.

Malev Hungarian Airlines used to offer up to six flights per week in the summer period and three in the winter between Toronto and Budapest but the carrier ceased operations in February 2012.

According to Denis Codere, Deputy Chief Commercial Officer of SkyGreece Airlines, “tourism in Hungary is definitely growing every year and the popularity of Budapest, river cruises and the numerous tours offered to discover the beauty of Hungary are definitely a must see for all Canadian travellers”.
