TORONTO — More than 320 Canadian travel advisors are joining Tourism Ireland and its partners this week for Tourism Ireland’s annual sales mission.
Kicking off in London, ON and heading to Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax, the sales mission aims to showcase the island of Ireland to travel agents across Eastern Canada.
Says Sandra Moffatt, Manager, Tourism Ireland, Canada: “This week’s sales mission welcomes our largest-ever delegation of Irish industry to Canada as we highlight the breadth and variety of reasons to visit Ireland in 2023.”
Moffat adds that the visit offers a strong opportunity for partners to connect with travel advisors selling the island of Ireland, encouraging them to expand their programming and ensure Ireland is top of mind when recommending destinations to clients.
Some 240,000 Canadian visitors delivered €209 million to the Irish economy in 2019. The sales mission is a key strategy in the rebuilding of tourism to the island of Ireland to 2019 levels, and a valuable opportunity for Tourism Ireland to highlight new and existing offerings to the travel trade.
The Canadian market is the fifth strongest market for Ireland in terms of holiday revenue.
