Air Transat getting ready to relaunch summer routes for 2022

Air Transat resumes service to Portugal

MONTREAL — Air Transat has resumed operations between Canada and Portugal, with roundtrip flights launching last week following months of temporary suspension due to COVID-19.

Air Transat now offers two direct flights per week from Montreal to Lisbon and from Toronto to Porto. Direct flights from Toronto to Faro are set to begin on Jan. 18.

The news comes on the heels of Air Transat’s resumption of flights to the U.K. on Sept. 15 with a flight from Toronto to London Gatwick. The airline also recently announced that it will be resuming operations from Toronto to Manchester, England earlier than originally planned, on Oct. 19, due to passenger demand.

This winter, Air Transat will by flying to nearly 50 destinations in the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America, the United States and Europe.
