TICO commits to helping end anti-Black systemic racism

MISSISSAUGA — TICO has signed the BlackNorth Initiative Pledge in support of ending anti-Black systemic racism in the workplace and beyond.

Led by the Canadian Council of Business Leaders Against Anti-Black Systemic Racism, the Pledge already includes upwards of 500 organizations in both the public and private sectors that are committed to removing barriers that negatively affect the lives of Black Canadians, and creating opportunities for underrepresented groups.

Said Richard Smart, TICO President and CEO: “TICO recognizes the importance of addressing inequities in our workplace. We have made a clear commitment to eradicating systemic racism by establishing opportunities for Black and other marginalized groups to be successful. By signing the BlackNorth Initiative Pledge we join a group of equally committed business leaders in championing diversity, inclusion and equity.”
