Downloading health app no longer required for travellers, says Belize

BELIZE CITY — Belize continues to ease its entry requirements, first by eliminating the need for a negative COVID-19 test for vaccinated travellers, and now by allowing visitors to enter without downloading its previously required health app.

According to the Government of Belize, travellers entering the country are no longer required to download and complete the Belize Travel Health App prior to arrival.

The country does, however, still require that travellers provide one of the following: proof of full COVID-19 immunization received at least two weeks prior to arrival; a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 96 hours of travel; or a negative rapid test (Rapid Antigen, Sofia, SD Biosensor, and ABBOTT) taken within 48 hours of travel.

In addition, international visitors must book at a Gold Standard hotel and present confirmation at immigration.
