Favourite Travel Memory:
Smuggling my pet terrapin on the plane from Hong Kong to New Zealand when I was eight, and taking her into the plane bathroom to swim around in the sink. She even went through the x-ray machine without being spotted. What can I say – security was a little more lax in the 80s!
Favourite Place in the World:
Window seat at Lagkagehuset bakery in Copenhagen, with a strawberry tart in one hand and a custard danish in the other.
Dream Trip:
The Harry Potter theme park in Orlando, Florida.
Why I love to travel:
As an escape from the everyday. Also, as an excuse to overindulge as much as possible.

Favourite Travel Memory:
Staying in a large open-concept home (converted from a small hotel) in Antigua, Guatemala and waking up to a warm rainfall. The upper floors were partially open to the outside so I could feel the warm breeze and the mist coming in while looking at the dormant volcano in the distance.
Favourite Place in the World:
A ledge off the East-facing side of Rattlesnake Point, on the Niagara Escarpment, that overlooks the valley of trees and fields below; just beside one of the underground caves that I frequent/re-explore every summer and autumn.
Dream Trip:
A tie between a long tour/excursion of the Serengeti in Africa and an exploration of western Europe including attempting the Pilgrimage of Santiago de Compostella from France to Spain.
Why I love to travel:
Every different part of the world that I see and experience changes me in a positive way. Not only am I mentally aware of the vastness of our world, I can physically confirm it.

When we went for a long drive from Florida to Texas, we stopped by some place for gas and food. We saw restaurants and fast food stands nearby the gas station but all the menu listings seemed to be exotic, (like fried frog legs, grilled alligator tail, frog sandwich, etc.), then we noticed that the place had a big sign that said “Frog City”. We ended up ordering pizza.
